Are you an Agony Aunt (or Uncle) - Advice and Guidance qualifications just for you

Do you need acceditation in Advice and Guidance?  Redrook can help you get the qualifications you need, either Level 3 or Level 4.

What's the difference between the levels?  We've given you some guidance below so you choose which one would suit you better.

 

NVQ Certificate in Advice and Guidance Level 3

The EDI Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Advice and Guidance is aimed at those who work directly with clients, providing advice, disseminating information and giving some guidance. They will be working within clear guidelines dealing with information that often needs to be adapted and interpreted for the client.

NVQ Diploma in Advice and Guidance Level 4

The EDI Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Advice and Guidance is intended for experienced practitioners who provide advice and guidance, mediation and careers education and guidance to young people and adults within organisations such as schools, colleges and universities, careers services or Local Authorities. Individuals may have some management experience as part of their role and may be responsible for the provision of information materials for the service and their design and maintenance.

QTLS - professional formation - just another hoop to jump through?

What's QTLS?  It means Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills.

Do I need it? Yes if you joined the workforce in the last couple of years.

I've been around for ages - do I still need it?  Yes - even if you got your PGCE or Cert Ed ages ago.  Getting QTLS tells prospective employers that you are serious about keeping up to date.  You may want to change your job before being put out to grass.

What's the difference?

It's a 12 credit qualification where you need to achieve the following:

Group A - Roles and responsibilities - 3 credits

Group B - Inclusive teaching and learning and facilitating learning and development - 6 credits

Group C - Assessment - 3 credits

Did You Know PTLLS is a Legal Requirement?

It is now a legal requirement that those who deliver lifelong learning have an accredited qualification. 

redrook provides the qualification you need.

Government regulations changed in September 2007 and anyone joining the workforce since that date has to become either an Associate Teacher Learning and Skills (ATLS) or a Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).

The PTLLS award is the entry level qualification which confers a threshold licence to teach or train.
